Effect of Samsara on Vehicle Warranty

Attaching equipment to a vehicle diagnostic port is a standard third-party practice. In the US, the Moss Magnuson Warranty Act of 1975 addresses aftermarket additions and vehicle warranties. Samsara is read-only, does not attempt to modify a vehicle’s ECU, and is generally designed not to interfere with a vehicle’s operation.

Samsara is a member of Equipment & Tool Institute (ETI), an organization that includes both diagnostics vendors and vehicle manufacturers, providing Samsara with diagnostics information directly from the manufacturers. Samsara is thoroughly tested for interoperability with a wide variety of vehicles.
