With Preventative Maintenance Schedules, you can keep a log of maintenance history for your vehicles and equipment from your Samsara dashboard, and get reminders on when a vehicle is due for a service, such as an oil change, axle alignments, or coolant replacement.
To create and manage Preventative Maintenance Schedules you must be assigned a Full Admin role, or have a custom role with Maintenance user permission Create and edit schedules, DVIRs, and logs enabled. For more information on permissions, see Custom Roles.
To get started with Preventative Maintenance Schedules, perform the following workflow:

Create a New Preventative Maintenance Schedule. This enables you to create maintenance intervals based on number of days, odometer readings, or operated engine hours.

Set up Preventative Maintenance Alerts to notify you and other users of upcoming maintenance needs for your fleet.

Review Upcoming Maintenance to view status of upcoming or overdue scheduled maintenance.
