Set Up Users with Connected Workflows

Access to Connected Workflows is based on user licenses. Before an administrator or user can have access to Connected Workflows, you must assign them an individual Forms license. If an administrator needs access to Connected Workflows on the Samsara dashboard, or if a user needs to access a form on the Samsara Driver App, they will each need a Forms license. This means your organization must assign a minimum of two Forms licenses to get started: one license for an admin to access the Forms dashboard, and one license for a user in the mobile app. For more information on licenses, see License Management.

If you need to set up a non-driver such as a supervisor or other operational professional with Connected Workflows on the Samsara Driver App, you can also hide driving-related features on the app, and display only the Forms and Training tiles on their app home screen for a better user non-driver user experience. Users and drivers with a Forms license and access to the Samsara dashboard also have access to all features within the Submissions dashboard, including Approval Feature for Connected Workflows, if applicable.

Assign Forms Licenses

To assign a Forms license to an admin or user, perform the following workflow:

1. Select the Settings icon ( ) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

2. Select Billing > Assign Licenses.

   

3. Under the Unassigned tab, choose the license type you want to assign.

   

4. Assign the license to the admin or user.

   

5. You can view all assigned licenses in the Assigned tab.
