Determine the Cable SKU for Powered Asset Gateways

For inventory and troubleshooting purposes, it can be helpful to identify the cable model (SKU) used with your powered asset gateway. The cable SKU is not displayed in the Samsara dashboard, however, you can obtain it by exporting the devices report to comma-separated values (CSV) format.

To identify the cable SKU:

1. Select the Settings icon ( ) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

2. From within Devices, select Devices > Gateways.

3. Select More actions > Download CSV.

   The CSV file saves to your computer.

4. Open the CSV file.

5. Identify the value in the Cable SKU column for the powered asset gateway.

   Note

   The value will be blank for other gateway types including unpowered asset gateways.
